Board-certified veterinary cardiologists specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease in animals. Currently there are less than 400 board certified cardiologists world-wide. These veterinarians have undergone extensive training and rigorous testing and they have demonstrated their clinical competency under close supervision. They have completed an internship and residency focused on cardiology after the completion of their doctor of veterinary (DVM) degree. Board-certified specialists are referred to as Diplomates of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, subspecialty of Cardiology. Quite simply, no other veterinarian has the background to provide an accurate diagnosis and the best cardiac treatment options. Cardiology is all we do, every day.
